I developed PD after beginning on Lipitor.  I stopped the medication after a few weeks.  The PD started about a month later.  It was mild and witin a year and a half I was virtually normal.  I then went on the statin again and stayed on for months when suddenly I developed accute PD.  Reseraching I found that statins can cause PD.  Why?  I went off the statin again and have recovered some but doubt fully recovery is possible.  The link between PD and statins seems to me to be a very real lead to potential prevention of a devistating problem.

If I had known it would have caused this I would have never taken it.  My doctor thinks I should go back to the statin but frankly I'd rather die eArly from high cholesteral than have NO love life.
